A late 19th to early 20th-century bench-mounted sandstone grindstone set within a heavy timber frame.

A thick natural sandstone wheel with original hand-crank mechanism and cast iron belt pulley flywheel, allowing the grindstone to be operated by hand or connected to a traditional belt-driven system.

The heavy timber frame retains its original construction and includes an integrated work rest and splash guard around the wheel. The timber and metalwork show natural age-related wear and a well-developed patina.

A decorative and functional piece suitable for a heritage workshop, interior display, architectural salvage setting or garden feature.
