An original reclaimed Victorian cast iron fire surround. The piece features a classic period design with an arched opening, featuring elaborate scrollwork and decorative elements around the arch. The cast iron has been blacked and polished, giving it a rich colour and finish. It is designed to frame a fireplace opening with a wood burner or fire basket. The fire surround is in good antique condition with expected signs of age, including small knocks, pitting, casting marks, and surface rust to the reverse. Please see images for full condition details. A fine example of Victorian design, this fire surround offers character and period charm that would suit both traditional and modern interiors.
