A batch of fifty-five reclaimed decorative red header bricks with an egg and dart detail. Other names for the egg and dart motif include egg-and-tongue, egg-and-anchor, and egg-and-star. These names refer to the alternating ovoid ("egg") shapes with pointed, dart-like, anchor-shaped, or tongue-shaped figures. Versions of this motif have been used throughout history in classical architecture, originating in Ancient Greece and Rome, as a decorative border symbolising life, fertility, and continuity.

The batch includes a pair of corner returns. Hand cleaned and graded for quality. Some mortar may remain. Small chips and marks are expected from previous use. The corner bricks show slightly more damage. See images for details.
