This original wrought iron boot scraper would have been set in the ground or mounted on a stone base. A simple scraper design with a scrollwork handle leading to a multi-faceted geometric finial. A rare find in today’s market, these were once a common sight outside country houses. The scraper removes the worst of the mud from the sole of the boot, while the handle offers support to the user. In good condition for its age, with some rust and corrosion on the lower sections of the legs from years of being mounted in the ground or on a stone base.
